The experience
The Giro d'Italia is far more than a race: it is a popular celebration, adrenaline and history all in one. Every year, when the Corsa Rosa features a stage departing from Romagna, Hotel Dory organises a front-row day to live it without any logistical worries — with an all-inclusive service from start to return. An experience open to everyone: cyclists of all levels and non-cyclists alike.
Morning immersed in the Giro Village — champions up close, team buses and mechanics at work — then the thrill of the official stage start with the peloton flying past your eyes. Beach buffet featuring Chef Dory's specialities and an afternoon with two options: return in the saddle with the Dory guides, or a cultural minibus tour.
2026 Edition — Stage 9: Cervia – Corno alle Scale
17 May 2026 · 184 km · 2,400 m elevation gain · departure from Cervia (RA)
In the 2026 edition we were in Cervia, 30 km from Riccione, for Stage 9 of the 109th Giro d'Italia: 184 km from the Adriatic coast to Corno alle Scale, the highest peak of the Bolognese Apennines at 1,471 metres. The pink caravan transformed Cervia's Borgo Marina into a popular festival, with enthusiasts arriving from all over the world. Our guests experienced first-hand the atmosphere of the Giro Village, the official stage departure and the beach buffet with typical Romagna specialities by Chef Dory — before returning to Riccione by bike or on the cultural tour to Cesenatico and Verucchio.
