NATURE PARK OF SAN BARTOLO
(Marche)

During the first stage we will travel from Riccione by bus to Monte San Bartolo from where we will start our tour along the constant ups and downs of the beaten paths of the namesake Nature Park, in a south-east direction towards the city of Pesaro. To the east, we can enjoy views of the Adriatic Sea, while to the west stretch the hills of our hinterland as far as the mountains of the central Apennines with mounts Carpegna, Nero, Petrano and Catria. At about noon we will have a packed lunch.

After arriving in the port city of Pesaro, we shall have dinner in a hotel and whoever so wishes can visit the old-city centre and take part in one of the many cultural events staged there in various periods of the year.

On day two, we shall start off on foot from Pesaro and, after leaving the city, walk along country paths and woods to reach the town of Gradara, known as the capital of the Middle Ages, where we will visit the wonderful and mighty castle, the site of numerous medieval and Renaissance stories and legends. We will have lunch in a traditional farmhouse and then return to Riccione by bus in the early afternoon. On day two, it will be possible to start the tour with a mini cruise to Cattolica, from where to reach Gradara on foot.

MONDAY	9.30 am hiking trail in the Romagna and San Marino region of about 10/12 km 1.00 pm Barbecue in Vecciano in the country house and tasting of balsamic vinegar 6.00 pm breafing with the guides on the "Natural Park of San Bartolo" tour 7.00 pm dinner
TUESDAY	8.30 am Riccione - Ponte Tavollo (by minibus), Ponte Tavollo - Pesaro 16 km (hiking) 4.00 pm arrival at Pesaro and check-in at the hotel 7.30 pm typical local dinner and visit to the city
WEDNESDAY	8.30 am Pesaro - Gradara 16 km (hiking) 4.00 pm arrival in Gradara and visit of the village and the ancient castle 18.00 departure from Gradara for Riccione by minibus 7.00 pm typical Romagnola dinner
THURSDAY	9.30 am hiking trail in the Romagna region of about 10/12 km and stop for a wine and typical products tasting of the region during the tour 7.00 pm dinner at the hotel
FRIDAY	9.30 am hiking trail in the Romagna and Marche region of about 10/12 km Possibility of a boat excursion instead of hiking 7.00 pm "Sapori e Piaceri" tasting dinner 9.00 pm Evening photos and prizes

General information

• The program is aimed at trained hikers, accustomed to routes even uphill, but can also be adapted to less trained walkers by making longer trips in minibus.
• All services for hikers and also a first-aid and luggage transport service minibus is at disposal of the group during the 2 days excursion.
• The cost of the package is indicative and is calculated on 5 participants.
• Please bring a small trolley with the bare essentials for 3 days (not large Samsonite suitcases :-)
• The suggested weekly program can be modified and agreed with us at your convenience
