On the Way to the Rocca di San Leo

A Wednesday of Sports and Culture with Good Food: at 9:00 a.m., we set off for a bike tour through the countryside towards the town of San Leo.

After cycling along the Marecchia River Valley, we’ll tackle the climb towards San Leo and its fortress, a manageable ascent suitable for cyclists of all levels, taken at your own pace without any rush.

Along the way, we’ll already be able to admire the fortress dramatically perched on the rock.

Once we reach the peak, we'll enter the town of San Leo, which has Roman origins (3rd century A.D.), while the fortress and church date back to the medieval period, and the surrounding buildings are from the Renaissance era.

A tour guide will be waiting for us to share the history of this place and the legend of Count Cagliostro!

We will then have lunch at a typical restaurant in the heart of the town.

Dates:

SPRING: Wednesday, April 16th, May 21st  and June 11th, 2025

General Information:

• The program is open to cyclists of all levels, ideal for electric touring and road bikes, and the pace will be leisurely, at “Dolce Vita” level.
• We provide rescue, supplies, and support with our minibus along the route.
• The excursion will only take place if there are a minimum of 8 participants, and with a minimum of 16 participants, two cycling guides will be guaranteed.
• The participation fee is €109 per person.
• The program is subject to changes regarding routes and times.
• In case of bad weather, the program may be postponed to the following day or canceled with a refund.
• Departure is scheduled for 8:00 a.m., and return around 5:00 p.m.
• We advise bringing spare cycling clothes, leg and arm warmers, a rain jacket, and sneakers, which will be transported in the van.
