L`INTREPIDA

In just a short span of time, L’INTREPIDA has evolved into a cherished vintage bicycle touring event, owing to the profound cycling enthusiasm of its organizers. This passion has imbued the event with distinctiveness, evident in the breathtaking landscapes that serve as its backdrop, the meticulously curated routes, the delectable cuisine provided at designated stops, the warm hospitality extended to participants, and the palpable atmosphere of camaraderie and familiarity that renders the entire weekend truly extraordinary.

Here the roads were built by the Romans and before them the Etruscans.

In those days the two-wheeled vehicles were heavy carts pushed by hand or pulled by horses.

There were no athletes along these ancient roads, only soldiers; no competitions, only battles.

You will be able to choose from three different routes:

• the 120 km Intrepido
• the 85 km long route
• the 42 km short route, with departure from Anghiari (Arezzo).

The ride passes through one of the most beautiful places in Tuscany, over dirt and asphalt roads full of appeal and history.

If you wish, you can rent a vintage bicycle and appropriate cycling gear from us. Please book in advance.

Program: from October 17th to 19th October
3 days - 2 nights

Friday 17th October	16.00: departure by minibus or private cars to Anghiari; 18.00: arrival at Anghiari, check-in in Hotel, visit of the Old-Town Centre of Anghiari and aperitif 20.00: dinner in at Podere Tovari
Saturday 18th October	10.00: departure for a bike tour in the countryside of Anghiari with participation to the event "La Gastronomica" a tour with three breaks for typical local products tasting  13.00: visit of Anghiari, of the vintage market, of the bikes museum and leisure time. 19.00: Dinner in Pizzeria
Sunday 19th October	08.45: departure of all the three routes 13.00: lunch "L'Intrepida" 15.00: possibility to have shower for those who leave sunday afternoon 17.00: departure for those who whish to leave sunday afternoon 19.00: dinner in a restaurant for those who wish to leave Monday During the ride, vintage refreshment points at Ponte alla Piera and Felcino Nero. After the bicycle tour, traditional lunch with famous bringoli of Anghiari. Possibility of shower on arrival.

Monday morning airport departure option
If you wish to depart for the airports on Monday morning, an additional package is available for €180, including:

• Sunday night accommodation in Anghiari.
• Monday morning transfer to Bologna Airport.
• Single occupancy room surcharge for the extra night: €72.

Cost of participation: Euros 559.00 which include:

• registration to the event
• transfer service Riccione-Anghiari for people and bicycles
• 2 night stays with breakfast in Anghiari at Podere Tovari (https://www.poderetovari.com/)
• a professional guide to give you all the assistance you need to ensure you spend an unforgettable experience.

Extra costs:

• Dinner of friday night at Podere Tovari of about 50/60 Euros
• Dinner of Saturday (Pizza) about 20 Euros
• Single-use room supplement (DUS): €70 per night.
• Transfer services from Anghiari to the airports or other destinations
• Vintage Bike rental service (about 80 Euros)
• City Taxis

We invite you to let us know if you wish to depart on Monday for the reservation of the room and the additional dinner.

The event will be organized for a minimum of 8 participants.

Possibility to participate to the event with private car, the hotel Dory can reserve the hotel nights, provide the guide, all the assistance and register to the event with participation to the expenses of 430 Euros

So go get your old bike, get dressed without wasting time and pedal through History.

Important: To take par to the 120 kms or 85 kms route you must have a Cycling Competition Card or Competitive Sports Medical Certificate, for the 42 kms route you need a Medical Certificate indicating “SUITABILITY FOR NON-COMPETITIVE SPORT”. If you have neither you cannot participate.
