Cycling tourism race on vintage bicycles
Here the roads were laid out by the Romans and before them by the Etruscans.
In those times, wheels were made of solid wood, heavy carts pushed by hand or pulled by horses.
In just a few years, the Eroica has become a cycling tourism classic for vintage bicycles, thanks to the cycling passion of the organizers whose endeavours have made this event one of a kind.
The 23rd Eroica will take you back in time, to rediscover a wonderful sport, made up of history and humanity, for those who love the beauty of hard work and have a taste for challenges.
As usual, to take part in the race you will need a bike dating back to before 1987 and vintage wool pants and shirt. You can either dust up your old racing bike or rent one at a cost of 200 euro directly on the spot.
We shall be cycling through one of the most beautiful and authentic parts of Tuscany, over unpaved and asphalt roads full of charm and history.
