A week`s cycling holiday with routes through Italy from the Adriatic to the Tyrrhenian Sea, amid history, art, nature and picturesque landscapes.
We start from Riccione and sleep in the ancient towns of Gubbio, Montepulciano and Saturnia before reaching Orbetello on the Argentario headland from where we depart for Riccione by minibus
Four main stages for well-trained cyclists with many climbs in stunning landscapes and through the beautiful villages of Tuscany. Nor do we fail to explore some of the favourite cycling routes of Romagna and Marche, such as the Scenic Road of Monte San Bartolo. A meaningful and memorable biking experience.
We cross the Apennines from Urbania to Gubbio during the first and most difficult stage; the second stage takes us along the banks of Lake Trasimeno and on to Montepulciano, where the famous wine is made.
Star of the third stage is the Val d`Orcia. From the scenic terrace of Pienza, we cycle along the valley and hills which formed the backdrop to famous movies like "Gladiator" with breathtaking views and landscapes before coming to the spa facility of Saturnia where we enjoy a well-deserved warm thermal bath.
The last and easiest stretch takes us across the green Maremma countryside, where many athletes train in the winter months, to Orbetello, where we can enjoy a dip in the blue Tyrrhenian Sea.
Lunch by the sea and return to Riccione by minibus after covering 364 km in 4 days with a total elevation gain of 5,700 metres.
Nature will be our traveling companion, history and art await us at every destination; the road with its uphill stretches will make our journey worthy of being enjoyed by bike, our passion!
